Frequently asked questions

Why learn visually?
Some words lend themselves well to visual presentation and that's why we want you to have a picture dictionary for Japanese: Kumadex.
What about audial and kinaesthesic learning?
There are some great books with audio supplements, such as Genki, as well as learning resources that use kinaesthesic techniques to help you learn (e.g. games), including WaniKani and DuoLingo. With Kuma Learn, you'll have a visual resource to learn from. Of course, Kuma Learn has plans to also have visual games, so stay tuned!
What are the plans for the future?
Kuma Learn is only just starting out! That means there's still lots to come. We've started with a picture dictionary (Kumadex) but we also plan to offer: a Spaced Repetition System (SRS) for learning efficiently; games to combine audial, kinaesthesic and visual learning; progress tracking to keep you motivated!
